Our story *
The GA Bello Foundation for Wellness is a nonprofit organization created to reduce barriers to mental health care and essential supports for individuals and families navigating hardship, transition, or limited access to resources.
The Foundation’s work is grounded in the understanding that wellness is impacted by more than mental health alone. Access to food, stability, timely support, and practical resources all play a role in a person’s ability to cope, heal, and move forward. When these needs go unmet, stress compounds and people are often left without meaningful options.
In addition to supporting adults and families, the Foundation works with youth and young adults, particularly during key transition points. This includes educational support, resource coordination, and programming focused on life beyond high school, college readiness, and navigating systems that impact long-term stability. Our youth-focused work recognizes the connection between early access to support and long-term wellness outcomes.
Through short-term support programs, direct assistance, and community-based partnerships, the GA Bello Foundation for Wellness focuses on addressing immediate needs while supporting longer-term stability. Services are designed to be accessible, ethical, and responsive to real-world circumstances, without unnecessary barriers or requirements.
The Foundation operates as a nonprofit organization with clear boundaries around scope and capacity. Programs are delivered intentionally and responsibly, with attention to doing what we can do well and referring out when needs fall outside our role.
Founder’s Note
I didn’t start this Foundation because I thought the world needed another nonprofit. I started it because I kept seeing people fall through the cracks, people who were trying, people who were resilient, and people who deserved better access to care and support.
This work is personal, but it’s also practical. The Foundation was built to offer support that is timely, ethical, and grounded in real life, not promises we can’t keep or systems that create more barriers.
Everything we do is shaped by the belief that access matters, timing matters, and how support is delivered matters. My goal is for this Foundation to remain responsive, accountable, and rooted in the communities it serves….even as it grows.
